Why we're doing this

The women in this community have not had a proper meet and greet over coffee in a long time. Plenty of workshops, plenty of talks, not much time to simply sit down together. So this one is mostly for that: an hour to meet the women STEM leaders in Goa properly, rather than exchanging two sentences on the way out of a venue.

We have also asked Sonali Dutta of Youmanize to do a session while we are all in the same room, on speaking up in rooms that were not built for us. You will walk out with actual phrases you can use in your very next meeting, not just theory.

Sonali Dutta

Founder, Youmanize · Trainer, speaker and coach

Sonali is a trainer and speaker for MNCs, GCCs and startups, and a 1:1 coach for introverted millennial managers. Her work sits at the intersection of culture, inclusion and equity, helping organisations build workplaces where people across generations, backgrounds and identities can actually work well together.

A solo female founder, she has led inclusion workshops for global companies and coaching journeys for professionals who are done letting self-doubt speak for them. Her sessions are honest, practical and jargon-free.

Owning Your Voice in Rooms That Weren't Made for You. A 45 minute session followed by 15 minutes of questions: speaking up without shrinking, being the only one in the room, assertive versus aggressive, and rewriting the hedging language that undermines you. Bring the meeting you keep replaying and put the actual phrase to Sonali.

Coffee and real introductions with women across tech, research and engineering in Goa. Founders, engineers, scientists and students, all of whom recognise your exact room. No agenda, no structure, just the part we have been missing.

Who this is for

Open to WiTG members and to everyone else, whatever your field or level. Come to meet the women STEM leaders in Goa, across tech, research and engineering. Anyone who has rehearsed a point in their head and then let someone else say it. Especially useful if you are early in your career, newly managing people, or quietly done letting self-doubt speak for you.
